WoodSpring Suites Beaverton Portland West receives mixed reviews, with initial praise for cleanliness and helpful staff, though concerns regarding room size, noise levels, and inconsistent service are prevalent. Recent reviews highlight issues with malfunctioning utilities, unauthorized charges, and a potentially problematic neighborhood environment.
I was their 1st or 2nd guest when they opened last spring, it was brand new and nice. But there are no kitchenette supplies - you have to buy them. I stayed 10 weeks, pating by the week. After 3 weeks, grubby, shabby, rough people populated the hotel, they smoked and made the halls reek if weed, rode 1-wheelers inside, and loitered outside in groups that like projects. Once I notified the desk of a fire from a cigarette buttt at the entrance. I never smoke or vape a thing and caused no such disgrace. One night, 2 days into my weekly stay, I returned with $100 of groceries. Out of the blue they told me I had to leave the next day? breaking the law requiring a 30-day notice. Then they put me on a Do Not Rent list for no reason. I have no idea why they mistreat honest, polite, rule minding customers, yet tolerate and welcome customers who violate the rules and disgrace the property. Go figure.
The room is so small it isn’t even a suite I thought there would be a living room but it’s just two beds and a single stove and fridge and the geese are super loud and there’s smoke smell and it’s just super old and broken down. On the outside it seems very fresh like new paint and stuff but it’s actually super old. There’s literally no room and it’s a very unsafe neighborhood
Always clean. Michelle is just a dream. She is so accommodating and helpful. We just love her. She couldn't be any more professional yet still remains personable and friendly. She's approachable and relatable. Thank you.
Thinnest walls of any hotel I've been to. Could hear almost entire conversations, footsteps, creaking or moving furniture. Hallways smelled like cigarette smoke. Wifi is very slow or you have to pay. Towels were not the cleanest but the bathroom itself was clean at least.
My family and I booked accomodations at the Woodspring Suites Beaverton while I fulfilled a contract in the area. Our stay was for 3 months and this are the things we noticed. * The hotel is new, but cheaply executed. The heating/air unit in our room stopped working after 1 month. I contacted Cori, who played the role of manager and repair technician. He was unable to fix the unit for the remainder of our stay. * The weekly rate for the hotel was $498.40. However, myself and many other visitors encountered phantom charges in the middle of the night to any debit card or credit card on file. When this issue was presented to Michelle or Cori, they feigned confusion. To be direct, it seemed the hotel is operating at a deficit and this required unauthorized transactions to maintain their overhead cost. * We checked out on October 10th. However, neither Michelle or Cori completed our checkout. After we checked-out, on October 16th, they attempted to continue to charge us for another week that we were not there. When I contacted Michelle, she stated that Cori was responsible and she did not know where our reservation was located to properly check us out. Keep in mind, this is a week after we checked out and moved into our home. * The location also seems to exist as a half-way house or shelter. Half of the costumers seemed to be senior citizens and others on disability/section 8 etc, and the remainder of the customers were former inmates and indentured laborers. A poor place for families. I was told by Michelle that I would be contacted about the unauthorized charges, that occurred after we check out. But, I'm not holding my breathe. This location seems to be holding on by a thread and needs to do business in bad faith. Keep that in mind while making accomodations. Or at the very least, keep your debit/credit cards locked. - Yosef Wise
WoodSpring Suites Beaverton is a New Hotel that just opened sometime this year. The Hotel is a really nice, clean, and up to date place to stay. The only problems that I have with WoodSpring Suites: 1. Throughout the night when you're trying to Sleep. You can hear every little noise coming from the other rooms and in the hallways. 2. In the Front Entrance of the Hotel, there are "Cigarettes" All Over The Ground! This makes this Brand New Hotel look Trashy and Nasty, which brings my Star Rating down to a (3) from what could have been a (4) Star.
We were very pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room. The kitchen accommodations suited our needs. The front desk people were very nice & helpful.
I am happy to have found this place. It's clean, roomy and felt safe. The ladies at the front desk were so nice! There was one weird guest hanging in the lobby, treating it like a college dorm, talking on the phone loudly with his slides off. Felt bad for the front desk ladies but they didnt seem to mind. There were people hanging in the parking lot which was weird. But inside the hotel feels safe and cozy. Im very pleased! My room had a small kitchenette and fridge. AC works great!
We had an amazing stay at WoodSpring! The hotel is conveniently located, very clean, and honestly unlike any other place we’ve stayed at before. The staff and reception team were super helpful and welcoming from the start. Our room was spacious and came with a small kitchen, which made it so much easier to prepare our own meals during the trip. The layout of the hotel was easy to navigate, and having laundry facilities on-site was a big bonus. We also appreciated the complimentary coffee available every morning! One of the things we loved most was the sense of privacy. After long days of shopping, it was great to return to a space that felt like our own—especially since housekeeping wasn’t daily, which meant all our shopping stayed safe and undisturbed. A big plus: they were so accommodating with our Amazon deliveries! We had packages coming almost every day, and the staff handled it all so smoothly. Overall, we felt extremely comfortable and happy with our stay and will definitely choose WoodSpring again when we’re back in Portland! ?
Okay, pros: very clean. Nice staff The cons: This is a No Frills Hotel. The Suites have a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and cooktop. Great! If you want to use any of the appliances I would suggest you bring your own dishes silverware, pots and pans and dish towels and soap as THERE ISN'T ANY! (although, it's available for purchase) Want some coffee? Go and get some as there is NO COFFEE MAKER IN YOUR ROOM! Need to blow your nose? NO KLEENEX! After you wash your hands it's nice to have a hand towel...NOT HERE! Almost forgot, the fridge has a freezer but. NO ICE TRAYS! That's okay, you think, I'll just go down to the ice machine, THEY DON'T HAVE ONE! I'm sure I missed other amenities that you normally find in almost every other hotel that they don't have here but hey, it's clean! But I wouldn't recommend staying here and I know that I won't be staying here again.
