Excellent hiking for pups and healthy humans, but be careful; the trails are steep, narrow, and washed out in places.

You have a wonderful hotel that meets many of my needs. The staff was kind and inviting. The only reason why I gave some 3 Stars is that the SECURITY in the area needs to secure the sound disturbing the lobby and the rooms. Safe housing is essential in these critical times. The coffee was great ?

My family and I stayed at Extended Stay America Suites from Friday, August 22 to Sunday, August 24, 2025. This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I want to be very clear why: Unprofessional Conduct at Check-In: When I arrived to check in around 5:00 PM, I witnessed a long-term guest hand the desk clerk cash, which she pocketed. This behavior immediately raised red flags about integrity and professionalism at this location. Misrepresentation Online vs. Reality: The pictures online show a full stove and oven, but our room had only a two-burner stovetop — with one burner completely inoperable. The website also claims “Dining and cooking utensils provided,” yet nothing was in the room. We had to go to the front desk, request them, and carry them back ourselves. When I asked for the complete set, I was handed only two bowls, plates, cups, and pieces of silverware — despite booking a room for five people. I even had to ask separately for a toaster. The excuse given was that “people steal these items,” so they don’t actually provide them in the rooms anymore. Nonexistent Basic Amenities: We were repeatedly told the hotel’s single luggage cart was “lost.” As a result, my daughter and I had to make multiple trips carrying heavy items and wrangling three children up to the second floor — at both check-in and check-out. Unsafe and Unsanitary Conditions: • The working stove burner was covered in a thick, flaking layer of debris with visible rust underneath — a clear fire hazard. • When we pulled out the hide-a-bed for the children, the mattress was stained with blood. There were no linens provided, and repeated calls to the front desk went unanswered. My grandchildren ended up sleeping on the floor. • The next morning, our toilet stopped working. Instead of sending maintenance, I was told to come to the desk and pick up a plunger myself. Indifference and Lack of Service: When I reported the blood-stained mattress, the desk clerk’s only response was that “we don’t make up hide-a-beds for safety reasons.” She did not address the unsanitary mattress, did not offer replacement linens, and ignored my request for extra towels. When I asked to switch rooms, I was told none were available. At every turn, staff displayed indifference, a lack of accountability, and no concern for basic hospitality standards — or guest safety. This stay was unacceptable. Between false advertising, unsafe conditions, unsanitary bedding, and a complete disregard for service, Extended Stay America Suites failed on every level. I will never stay at this brand again, and I will advise others to do the same.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I was even greeted with a warm smile and welcome drink. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. The bed felt like sleeping on clouds, and the view from my window was breathtaking. Housekeeping did a fantastic job every day, ensuring everything was perfectly clean and well-stocked. The amenities were outstanding, the pool was crystal clear, the gym was well-equipped, and the spa experience was truly relaxing. I also loved the dining options; every meal I had was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Breakfast especially was a highlight with so many choices. What really stood out was the exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making my stay memorable. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, luxury, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Looking for a one night quick stay and this fit the bill. The beds were comfortable. The floor of our room was a little sticky, and it wasn’t the most clean or updated room. The elevator didn’t work the first day but it was fixed quickly. Lots of places to eat nearby, shopping, and a Starbucks in the parking lot. Didn’t hear much noise from the room. Good place for a quick stay.

A campground with access to trails and Gales Creek. Each campsite had a table and fire ring. A clean pit toilet restroom is available. A manual water pump is available behind the self registration area. There was a camp host both times we visited. Campsites are first come first served. Gales Creek Day Use Trailhead is across the creek. It has several picnic sites with tables. Two fire rings and a clean pit toilet restroom are available. Parking is free in two gravel lots. The Gales Creek Trail is mostly uphill to the Summit Trailhead. It is about 2.5 miles. Parts of the trail are overgrown, but still easy to follow. A large tree is blocking the trail in one location. A challenging climb around is available. The trail is steep in places. The surface is dirt or gravel. There are several sturdy bridges.

From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, our stay at this hotel was outstanding. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and it’s clear the staff takes real pride in creating a memorable experience for their guests. The check-in process was smooth and friendly, and we were immediately made to feel welcome. The front desk staff were polite, professional, and genuinely warm—which instantly put us at ease after a long day of travel. Our room was perfect—beautifully clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were high quality, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. We had everything we needed, and any request we made was handled quickly and with a smile.

I love this place. I went every year as a kid with my parents. There are restrooms, tables, hiking trails, a river, and more! I hope to go with my friends some time in the future.

Gales Creek is our favorite campground, the place is beautiful, relaxing and well maintained, the host Chuck is the best! Our radio run out of battery and Chuck gave us the AA battery we need, thank you so much. My husband and I will be back soon.

we stopped here on a cross country motorcycle ride. we were running late that day, it was getting dark and stopped here without doing any research beforehand. it was by far the best campground we had stayed the entire trip. the sites are secluded but with plenty of space. the site it set down near the creek away from the road with lots of trees and coverage. it was a beautiful area with everything you would expect nature wise from Oregon. the the camp host Chuck (I think) was beyond awesome, he saw us roll up and was at the site we picked out before we even settled with a smile and firewood and helped us get settled. then in the morning we talked again and he gave us some advise on roads we should check out in Nevada on our way back( which we did thanks 168 was an awesome road) and was just an overall great experience. would recommend checking this place out.
