Roamers Rest RV Park consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and convenient location near stores, restaurants, and the Tualatin River. Guests appreciate the friendly staff, quiet atmosphere, and access to amenities like laundry and river access, making it a popular choice for both short and long-term stays. It seems to be a reliable base for exploring the Portland area.
We are finishing up a three month stay at Roamers Rest RV Park. We are here to visit with family so do not need anything more than a level site and reliable utilities. We did have to use some leveling blocks to get the RV level but it wasn't challenging. If you are looking for a place to sit by a campfire, swim and enjoy family activities this isn't a good fit. If you are looking to set up home base and spend time in the area working, visiting or playing then this place is perfect. The bath houses are kept very clean and the landscaping is immaculate.
Great RV Park. full hook ups (water, electrical 50/30 amp, sewer) back in spots and pull thru. nice level concrete pads for trailer/5th wheel and rvs. on-site laundry mat (quaters)clean grounds well maintained. nice path to walk along the tualatin river. and very close to many stores, resturants.
My husband and I stayed here for months while on a travel work contract. The landscaping always looks excellent with beautiful flowers and all of the staff have been very friendly and accommodating. We appreciate them dealing with our many Amazon packages ?. It’s quiet and we had a pretty view of the river. It’s also nice to have access to a boat launch for our kayak. The water is usually very slow moving, so it’s perfect for paddle boarding as well. There is a nice paved path that runs behind the park that connects to neighborhoods and a park with a fenced in dog area. Grocery stores, gyms, and the mall are all close by which is a big pus. We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back next year!
We stayed two weeks at the Park and found it to be very comfortable, well maintained, and enjoyed our stay. It was very quite and the other visitors were very friendly. Great location with shopping, good restaurants near by, and very secure. The laundry room and restrooms, including showers were clean and conveniently located within the Park. The paved trail along the Tualatin River was perfect for daily walks for us and our dog.
My week long stay was wonderful. The staff went above and beyond, the Tualatin River Greenway Trail was perfect for some exercise for me and my dog, the park was quiet and the folks staying there were friendly and helpful. The proximity to family, friends and Trader Joe's was also fantastic. I'll be back.
This should be your number one place to stay when you come through Portland. The park is always clean and well kept. Mark has been handling maintenance for years and does a wonderful job. The office staff, Tracy, Cindy, and Denise, again with the park for years, are always so friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and laundry are always clean. This park is close to anything you would need, Costco, Trader Joe’s, grocery stores, attractions, and freeways. This is our go to park when we are in Oregon. Con: The laundry is coin operated only. I wish they had an app so we didn’t need to have change and could just use our phone.
I want to take a moment to commend Roamers Rest Rv Park for providing such a wonderful and welcoming experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness of the grounds, the organization of the sites, and the genuine hospitality of the staff. The facilities were top-notch — clean restrooms, well-maintained hookups, and peaceful, scenic surroundings. It’s clear that great care is taken to ensure guests feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. What truly stood out was the personal touch. Whether it was helpful recommendations from the staff or the thoughtful layout of the park, everything was geared toward making our stay as enjoyable as possible. This campground sets a high standard, and we’ll gladly recommend it to fellow travelers. Looking forward to returning on our next trip through the area! Sincerely, Jason Hubert
Great place to stay for a few nights! We traveled from the Midwest for a wedding in Lake Oswego. Roamers was the perfect stop with all the amenities, was pet friendly for our pup, and just the location we were looking for. Thank you!
Shower facilities are top-notch! So nice to have a full private bathroom to shower in. The staff is so helpful and upbeat. I really appreciated having a happy person to work with our troublesome schedule. Even though the RVs are parked right next to each other, there is room to set up a patio and there is a beautiful walking trail along the river! Since we drive a motor home, we had to take a lift into Portland, but it was only $30.
My wife and I were "rooming" in our trailer. So I dare not comment on that! As for the rest of the RV park our stay at Roamers was GREAT! The lower level of the park appeared to brand new and up to date. The whole facility was well maintained. Concrete pull throughs were wide and accommodating with a wide grassy stripe, adjacent. The park is located next to the Tualatin River which flows leisurely by. A walk along the River path was quiet and a treat first thing in the morning. The office attendant was very pleasant and we bonded - she has family in our home town. If in the area I would return to Roamers and I can recommend it to you.
