Cedartree Hotel offers a unique and tranquil retreat with a distinct Japanese-inspired aesthetic. Recent reviews consistently praise the hotel's cleanliness, thoughtful design, and friendly service, highlighting the luxurious bathrooms with Japanese bidets and soaking tubs. While some guests appreciate the serene atmosphere, a few have noted minor inconveniences related to amenities and staff communication.
This hotel is beautiful. I didn’t know what to expect but chose it because of the reviews on Expedia, and thought it sounded interesting. I was intrigued so I booked it. It’s so charming Zen right when you walk in the front doors, I loved the attention to detail and theme. The baths were wonderful, the atmosphere was calm and quiet. We will revisit this one when we return in December for business.
Absolutely enjoyed the experience at this Japanese themed hotel. The rooms were clean, the property was well lit and groomed. Building is new and beds were super comfy. I would recommend staying here to experience not only a great night sleep but the Japanese bath room is a nice bonus. There is one for men and one for women, please check what an onsen is and what the etiquette are. You can also ask the front desk about this. The swimming pool was still under construction but I think it might still be too early in the season for an outdoor swim. I can see it out the window being built and it looks like it'll be a fantastic add on. Each room has a deep tub, standing shower area, and a Japanese bidet. Once you use one of those, there is literally no going back to just wipes. It's life changing. Room was very clean, including tub and bidet. Can't recommend this place enough! Will be back for sure. Price very competitive to the area as well.
The staff was amazing. The rooms offer a deep tub but the hot water was meh. There's no microwave and the mini fridge isn't good for much more than a few drinks. If you're on a work trip and all your meals aren't provided, I recommend better options.
Me and my fiancé stayed here for a self care, relaxing overnight. It’s not only a great place to stay location wise, but also has really relaxing amenities. The Onsen was incredible relaxing, and clean. The restaurant has great food, and the Sake bar was nice to visit afterwards. The atmosphere of the entire hotel was very relaxing and all the staff were incredibly friendly. The room we stay in was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was the nicest bathroom I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Highly recommend a relaxing stay here.
This hotel has ruined all future hotels for me. It’s clean, quiet, friendly, and at a safe location. Its Japanese theme is highly enjoyable and its traditional indoor bath was the highlight of the stay. The rooms have a traditional Japanese home shower/bath combination and an imported Japanese bidet toilet. They even sell Japanese snacks in the lobby. I enjoyed myself even though half of my stay was completing work in my room. In fact, I may visit the area again just so I get another chance to stay at this hotel. Want a relaxing getaway? Stay here.
I stayed one night at Cedartree and was really impressed. The property is beautifully maintained, and I loved the Japanese-inspired theme—it was such a pleasant surprise. My room smelled like a brand-new home, which made it feel especially clean and fresh. I only wish I could have checked in earlier to enjoy more of the amenities. Breakfast was excellent, and the salmon was definitely a highlight!
Place was nice, very clean, wonderful staff, and a neat, relaxing vibe Unfortunately my stay was not what I had hoped for the special occasion. Blindsided by an extra $100 upfront charge after I had already paid beforehand online. I'm in a wheelchair and was Extremly disappointed to hear that soaking would not be accessible for me, the main reason we chose this hotel for our anniversary. Our bathtub was so tiny and shallow too, so couldn't soak there either. The sake bar was closed, the other thing we were excited about. Restaurant food was good, but menu is very confusing, not matching the theme, and it took almost an hour for my dish to be ready *After* my partner had recieved their's. Despite no bartender, I was thankful someone was still able to make us some drinks. 1st time in 2 years drinking and they were perfectly made mojitos that I enjoyed while waiting for my order. Place has potential but wished we stayed elsewhere where the amenities that we were expecting, are available and accessible. That was the whole reason we booked a hotel for our anniversary instead of just staying at home, which was a few minutes away. :/
We hesitated between this hotel and several branded options, but decided to try something different—and we’re glad we did. Cedartree feels like a hidden gem. We love Japanese food and design, and this place absolutely delivered. The hotel’s simplicity and Wabi-Sabi style really stood out to me. There’s no flashy décor, but everything feels intentional and just right. We stayed for one night with our kids, and they loved it as well—it felt calm, comfortable, and welcoming. The food was excellent. Breakfast isn’t included, but the quality was outstanding and well worth it. Price reasonable. Overall, a thoughtfully designed hotel with great food and a peaceful atmosphere. We’d definitely come back.
This Japanese hotel is amazing. Its unlike any hotel I have ever been in (I have slept in over 1500 hotels). The highlight for me was the Japanese bathtub / shower. The tub is deeper than a normal American tub, and the shower head (and wand) are not over the tub. Im 6 3' and the shower was way above my head. This place is fantastic. I am definitely coming back here.
I stayed here back in November 2025. I really enjoyed my stay. The room looked bigger online but still was okay. I absolutely loved the bidet. One thing about the bathroom is it has a very deep bath tub and nothing in the bathtub to pull you up. The shower is I think slate material it’s extremely slippery without water and the whole set up could easily be a hospital visit if you fall. Nothing period to grab on to. I always wipe down bathrooms at hotels and the house cleaners need to do better. As an individual who had worked in house cleaning at the Hilton I was taught any trace of someone else’s hair in a supposedly newly cleaned room is an absolute no. I found long strands of dark brown hair but that’s exactly why I wipe everything down with disinfectant wipes. I found hair in the thin comforter on the bed so i requested another one which was bought to me very quickly. The restaurant has a new menu which the dinner options sounded amazing. My meal, my child’s meal, and my friends meal was the SALTIEST food I’ve ever ate at a restaurant. It was disgusting. My daughter had fettuccine with her meal and the sauce was so cultured looking. She said she enjoyed it but she’s only 4 so any noodles will do. The waitress seemed like she cared but then offered a dessert to compensate which was a sliver of a piece of apple pie. The pie wasn’t even warm, it was gross. The waitress said that it was the main cooks last night although who ever replaced him should not be cooking for no one. The food tasted processed like it came out of packaging, although the waitress said everything is cooked to order. I enjoyed the lemon water and coffee they had on the main floor and the public tub area seemed nice. The staff was nice. I would stay here again I just would not eat at the restaurant.
