We’ve stayed at this Motel 6 location several times over the past year, and each visit has been noticeably better than the last. What started as “the cheapest in Portland” option has evolved into a genuinely pleasant experience we keep coming back to for 2 huge reasons. 1. Staff & Service Alyssa and the front desk team has been friendly and helpful at check-in every time, and staff have gotten quicker at resolving small requests (extra towels, late checkout, etc.). It feels like the property has invested in better training or retained staff who know the routine well, but it’s to be said how much Alyssa goes above and beyond (in Feb ‘26, June ‘26 and in August ‘26). 2. Room Quality & Cleanliness The rooms have consistently improved — cleaner bedding, better-maintained bathrooms, and it’s clear the housekeeping standards have been tightened up since our first stay. Minor wear-and-tear issues we noticed early on (worn carpet, slow drains) seem to have been addressed in more recent visits. ALSO, they’ve revamped this retro 60s pool back to its former glory. It’s freaking amazing compared to across the street (Lake Oswego/Tigard). I’m genuinely picking this one over Lake Oswego every time now

I've been staying here on and off for months. This place has been amazing. The staff is great for the most part. The only problem I have and the reason I can't give full stars is because of an issue they chose to ignore. I am staying here for 2 weeks and on the 2nd day I was here, a mother and her five kids were put above us. It would have been fine a little extra noise and what not I can deal. But boy was I wrong. For the proceeding four days those kids were left unattended outside where they found a shopping cart and proceeded to run it in to our wall for hours. Then when we complained about the noise they said they would call her and nothing would happen. The kids would go upstairs and proceeded to scream in the room and pound on the floor. It would last till 2 sometimes 3 am. I work early mornings and needed sleep.We called and called and were told we weren't the only ones complaining. Yet when management went to talk to them they did nothing. Didn't move them to a lower level, didn't remove them. The only option would have been to call the police and they couldn't do anything because management didnt do anything. I received no apology, no compensation, and not even a we could change you to a different room. Mind you I paid extra to stay in that room because it has a refrigerator and microwave. I got too bad suck it up. If it was just me having a problem that would have been one thing and I would have found a way to get over it. But I wasn't the only one with an issue and even when I went in face to face to talk to the front desk the other customer who wasn't even involved said that she was even annoyed by them. I felt like there should have been some kind of penalty but nothing happened. This was so disappointing considering how great this place usually is. I hope next time this happens to someone they take it more seriously and they do something. I am a level headed person but I am at my breaking point and this whole situation should have been handled better. Update: 7/15 We called corporate. Now management is harassing us and trying to find reasons to kick us out. They have called multiple time while we are at work. This place is insane. I feel so bad for the good people that work here I hope they realize who they work for and find better work else where. The few that have made this unbearable I hope you find your pillow is always warm. This could have been handle so much better.

Recently more so, my family and I have had to use hotels/motels for shelter and stays. We had been to 2 other different motel 6’s with this one being the 3rd one. By far, the better one out of the three. The staff here are kind and friendly. The rooms are cozy while being spacious, of course depending on how many beds you get. The location is convenient, with many shopping stores around and or dinning restaurants. I am giving this hotel a 4 star only because it doesn’t quite fit to be a 5 star. Other than that, a great place to stay!

Writing this review for fellow travelers - it's hard to sometimes gauge which low cost, pet friendly hotel to choose, even among all the Motel 6's due to wildly different reviews in the same time period. I travel with my animals often and truly appreciate the pet-friendly nature of Motel 6 and that they don't up charge for pets. 99% of the reason I stay at Motel 6's on the road. The room we stayed in was clean - clean bedding, clean towels. No smells in the room, no weird smudges or "what is that" on the walls or floors, no insect infestations or ants. The bathroom was clean and the outdoor area had a nice, mowed grassy section for animals to relieve themselves. The woman who assisted me upon check in was kind and helpful. The parking and outdoor lighting felt safer than some other Motel 6s I've been at. Overall, I would stop at this Motel 6 location again. The reviews (and no pet fees) are 100% what led me to choosing this location. I hope this helps you, fellow traveler!

Our room cleaned by Rosa was spotless and very clean! She worked really hard and diligent to ensure our stay was comfortable. Our tv had two channels in Spanish the first night, second night it had 1 in English and 1 in Spanish , same two channels. When I told the front desk I was generously offered a new room but declined because it was our last night . I thought the offer was generous and considerate. This Motel 6 is quiet and you will get good nights sleep! Worth way more than the nightly price.

Pretty good value for the price. Our first room had a strong Marijuana smell, but the motel was very accommodating and let us switch rooms. The beds were comfortable and the TV had a good variety of channels. Also the coffee was OK, don't expect Starbucks quality.

Lanna was amazing! She helped me get my room booked quickly and was incredibly kind throughout the whole process. Great customer service and an overall great person. Made my experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!

This Motel 6 in Tigard feels like one of those calm roadside stops you make while moving through the Pacific Northwest ?. The air here is cool and clean, the sky often low and gray, and the streets stay quiet even in the evening. It’s not a place that tries to impress — it’s a place that simply does its job. The motel itself is straightforward and familiar. Simple rooms, basic comfort, nothing fancy. You stop here to rest, take a shower, sleep, and continue your road the next day. Everything is functional, predictable, and easy to understand. Outside, the Oregon atmosphere does most of the work. Soft light reflects on wet pavement, trees stand dark and still, and cars pass by quietly in the distance. The night here feels slow and steady, not empty — just calm. This Motel 6 isn’t about experience or luxury. It’s about the road, the pause, the quiet night between destinations — and that familiar Northwest feeling that makes even a simple stop feel grounded and peaceful.

Customer service is excellent! It's right near the highway but you don't hear it in the room. I could hear my neighbor's toddler at night but then they went to sleep. My sink wasn't draining properly but other than that the room was clean. There's a more upscale motel 6 across the street if you want something nicer .

I stayed 5 days with my dog. I had a good stay. The room was comfortable and I like the forced air heating system. It was pretty quiet here and it feels safe. I think it's a good neighborhood. It's an industrial area near a shopping area. So it seems like there aren't many people here other than travelers on i-5. There's a nice grassy area for pets behind the motel. I would definitely recommend this place.
