Recently more so, my family and I have had to use hotels/motels for shelter and stays. We had been to 2 other different motel 6’s with this one being the 3rd one. By far, the better one out of the three. The staff here are kind and friendly. The rooms are cozy while being spacious, of course depending on how many beds you get. The location is convenient, with many shopping stores around and or dinning restaurants. I am giving this hotel a 4 star only because it doesn’t quite fit to be a 5 star. Other than that, a great place to stay!

Writing this review for fellow travelers - it's hard to sometimes gauge which low cost, pet friendly hotel to choose, even among all the Motel 6's due to wildly different reviews in the same time period. I travel with my animals often and truly appreciate the pet-friendly nature of Motel 6 and that they don't up charge for pets. 99% of the reason I stay at Motel 6's on the road. The room we stayed in was clean - clean bedding, clean towels. No smells in the room, no weird smudges or "what is that" on the walls or floors, no insect infestations or ants. The bathroom was clean and the outdoor area had a nice, mowed grassy section for animals to relieve themselves. The woman who assisted me upon check in was kind and helpful. The parking and outdoor lighting felt safer than some other Motel 6s I've been at. Overall, I would stop at this Motel 6 location again. The reviews (and no pet fees) are 100% what led me to choosing this location. I hope this helps you, fellow traveler!

Pretty good value for the price. Our first room had a strong Marijuana smell, but the motel was very accommodating and let us switch rooms. The beds were comfortable and the TV had a good variety of channels. Also the coffee was OK, don't expect Starbucks quality.

Lanna was amazing! She helped me get my room booked quickly and was incredibly kind throughout the whole process. Great customer service and an overall great person. Made my experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!

This Motel 6 in Tigard feels like one of those calm roadside stops you make while moving through the Pacific Northwest ?. The air here is cool and clean, the sky often low and gray, and the streets stay quiet even in the evening. It’s not a place that tries to impress — it’s a place that simply does its job. The motel itself is straightforward and familiar. Simple rooms, basic comfort, nothing fancy. You stop here to rest, take a shower, sleep, and continue your road the next day. Everything is functional, predictable, and easy to understand. Outside, the Oregon atmosphere does most of the work. Soft light reflects on wet pavement, trees stand dark and still, and cars pass by quietly in the distance. The night here feels slow and steady, not empty — just calm. This Motel 6 isn’t about experience or luxury. It’s about the road, the pause, the quiet night between destinations — and that familiar Northwest feeling that makes even a simple stop feel grounded and peaceful.

Customer service is excellent! It's right near the highway but you don't hear it in the room. I could hear my neighbor's toddler at night but then they went to sleep. My sink wasn't draining properly but other than that the room was clean. There's a more upscale motel 6 across the street if you want something nicer .

I stayed 5 days with my dog. I had a good stay. The room was comfortable and I like the forced air heating system. It was pretty quiet here and it feels safe. I think it's a good neighborhood. It's an industrial area near a shopping area. So it seems like there aren't many people here other than travelers on i-5. There's a nice grassy area for pets behind the motel. I would definitely recommend this place.

I always stay at this Motel 6 when I’m in town. Great location and a simple no thrills budget-friendly place. Lanna is great and gave me an early check-in on a busy fully-booked holiday weeknd. Great staff!

Naomi at Portland south Motel 6 was such a breath of fresh air. Needing to stay in a few hotels with my 2 cats has been difficult but the moment we stepped through the office door, she greeted us with such kindness and warmth that I haven’t felt for a while. She was very thorough explaining everything and really expressed how important it was to her, that we felt safe and comfortable. Naomi thank you for making our stay, comfortable and warm.

The staff at this property are its best asset! Alyssa is so beyond helpful with accommodating my preferences and is so sweet to my puppy :) She is always so welcoming with a big smile and Lanna is also so sweet. The lack of air conditioning is definitely a major reason I don't stay here often. However, the team has big box fans they always offer which is helpful and thoughtful of them. Otherwise, the rooms are a little small, but clean and comfortable.
