Motel 6 Beaverton receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising the affordable rates, convenient location, and particularly the helpful staff, especially Shannon. However, numerous reviews highlight significant maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, and problematic interactions with front desk staff, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction.
The motel on the outside does not look very inviting at all. However, when we came into our room, it was very large. It had been redundant, and it was very clean. We were a little worried when we first got here. But haven't had no problems. A lady that works during the day of the office is awesome.
Everything was ok except the morning front desk Indian lady. You need to hire someone who REALLY is professional. She was Hella rude and didn't give us our deposit back for 2 towels that had stains on it. Go to Motel 6 in Tigard. It's called Motel 6 Portland South and there's another Motel 6 literally across the street from it witch is called Motel 6 tigard west. That west one is in better conditions but they both better than this old coup
Shannon, you are the tie that binds. Thank you for making our stay such a great experience. We did not intend to stay so long but due to extenuating circumstances we needed to. As our new home is not ready yet, we came to Beaverton Motel 6 for the excellent value with this great location and what we found was unparalleled customer service as well. Thank you again Shannon! Your new friend from Rm 126, Nick
After calling ahead and them only having 1 ground handicap accessible room available and the rest upstairs, it was not off to a good start. Never been in this particular area before but being disabled & standing outside the check-in window for about 40mins, watching drunks fight in front of the office, I was not impressed. My travel companion is also disabled and she had to transport rescue animals up the stairs along with personal belongings (we both do volunteer Animal Rescue work when we're able to). Got to my room and it wasn't too bad at first glance but the more I looked over everything the worse it got. The 2 beds both had blankets that smelled like cigarettes (one slightly less smoke smelling than the other) and burn holes in it in a non-smoking room, there was a bug under the blanket/flat sheet when I pulled them back, the toilet rocked hard and the floor beneath it is rotten due to the walk-in shower not having ANY caulking where it meets the floor tiles. Found a used bar of soap on the tile lip at the top of the shower (I'm 5'2 and could not reach it), no microwave or fridge either. I informed the attendant of everything, he came down and checked the blankets. Sniffed each and said sometimes the housekeepers mix the smoking & non-smoking bedding when laundered and apologized. I explained I have severe asthma (had inhalers, nebulizer and laid out on the cleaner bed) and the smell immediately hit me when I pulled the duvet cover off to lay down after 5hrs of traveling and needed to step outside because of it. He examined the bug that was on the bed I squashed and said it's too big to be a bed bug and apologized. He left to go get me clean bedding, returned and said they did not have any clean and asked if I could just use the other less smoke smelling blanket instead. At this point I was ready to leave but the Animal Rescue already paid for the rooms. The attendant didn't even offer to move me or comp atleast one of the rooms for all of this. I will never return to this one nor would I EVER recommend going here.
I left my details in my experience up above it's fantastic like always nothing better to say about this place it gets a 10 in my book.I have to be honest, I have lived in seven different states in Oregon twice so I've stayed in a lot of hotelsand motels. This motel by far is the cleanest and one of the best I've ever stayed at anywhere I've lived. The staff is more than helpful and will bend over backwards for you. I can't say anything better about this place it's fantastic and I've stayed at this one so many times I can't count. Plus you can smoke in the rooms. Always an added bonus since you can't smoke anywhere anymore. One of the best, if your going to stay anywhere in the Portland Metro, I would give this motel a 10 in every aspect. Thanks for reading and I hope you take me up on my recommendation! ? Christopher
My experience at Motel 6 Beaverton has been excellent. The staff consistently goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel comfortable and supported. They were extremely accommodating and even assisted me with a seamless room change when I needed it, which I truly appreciated. The room I checked into was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The property is also pet-friendly, which is a major advantage for travelers with animals. Despite being one of the most affordable options in the area, the quality, safety, and customer service here stand out far above what you’d expect at this price point. I’ve had friends stay here as well, and they’ve all said the same thing — this location is the best choice in the area. After my experience, I completely agree.I highly recommend Motel 6 Beaverton to anyone looking for a reliable, welcoming, and budget-friendly place to stay.
I have two separate reviews, one for staff and one for the actual motel and its owner. Shanon is lovely! Highest rating for her and her husband. We got off to a slightly rocky beginning but she was delightful and thoughtful. Her husband helped to carry my stroller up the stairs and was very kind in general. She gave us wonderful information and her warmth was appreciated. The room itself was okay, very clean despite being run down (a reflection of the property and its owner, NOT the staff). The hot water was tepid at best though Shanon offered us another room to shower in that did have hot water if we needed (something she shouldn't have to do but she's kind) and told us the times the hot water might work best. The television was hard to work and often didn't but that's on the owner and not the staff. There was some drama with another motel user who made an outside commotion but again that's on the owner for not having security or enforcing the property rules well. The ice machine was also broken but again that's an owner issue. For the most part I felt safe and was able to enjoy my room with my family though I don't feel it was worth the money considering what was out of use. Though that's not on the staff at all. I hope the property owner listens to their staff and starts to fix things properly as it isn't fair to the motel users or staff who actually do the hard part of running the place.
Only negatives were maintenance issues. Staff was pleasant, professional, and above & beyond. Tv didn't get a signal; phone doesn't work; towels & washcloths were crusty, brown and hard on the outside; no hot water, layer of thick dirt and dust on everything; open black cracks on bathroom ceiling; many old stains where mold was wiped off (still had mold residue and wipe marks); many areas where water damage made big bags in wall paint; unserviced heating unit blows burnt dust smell.
The room I was in was a little outdated. The fan in the restroom only worked occasionally, and the power outlets were fairly worn from use. The staff was incredible. Shannon was amazing!
Worst motel 6 ever. No hot water, tv didn’t work. Big dogs running freely in in the parking lot. Water dripping from ceiling onto your head if you sit on the toilet. The clerk rented my room to someone else and he tried to get in. Clerk accused me of not paying and wanted to come in at 1:15 am. Then came back to apologize and still wanted in. Freaky Friday. Upon leaving at dawn the cleaning lady yelled at me for complaining about the smell in the room. Even the sheets reeked of cigarettes and whatever. Nasty.
