Motel 6 Beaverton exhibits a mixed guest experience, with strong praise for the staff and location, but significant concerns regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and guest comfort. Recent reviews highlight recurring issues like malfunctioning amenities, poor room conditions, and inadequate service.
I left my details in my experience up above it's fantastic like always nothing better to say about this place it gets a 10 in my book.I have to be honest, I have lived in seven different states in Oregon twice so I've stayed in a lot of hotelsand motels. This motel by far is the cleanest and one of the best I've ever stayed at anywhere I've lived. The staff is more than helpful and will bend over backwards for you. I can't say anything better about this place it's fantastic and I've stayed at this one so many times I can't count. Plus you can smoke in the rooms. Always an added bonus since you can't smoke anywhere anymore. One of the best, if your going to stay anywhere in the Portland Metro, I would give this motel a 10 in every aspect. Thanks for reading and I hope you take me up on my recommendation! ? Christopher
My experience at Motel 6 Beaverton has been excellent. The staff consistently goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel comfortable and supported. They were extremely accommodating and even assisted me with a seamless room change when I needed it, which I truly appreciated. The room I checked into was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The property is also pet-friendly, which is a major advantage for travelers with animals. Despite being one of the most affordable options in the area, the quality, safety, and customer service here stand out far above what you’d expect at this price point. I’ve had friends stay here as well, and they’ve all said the same thing — this location is the best choice in the area. After my experience, I completely agree.I highly recommend Motel 6 Beaverton to anyone looking for a reliable, welcoming, and budget-friendly place to stay.
I have two separate reviews, one for staff and one for the actual motel and its owner. Shanon is lovely! Highest rating for her and her husband. We got off to a slightly rocky beginning but she was delightful and thoughtful. Her husband helped to carry my stroller up the stairs and was very kind in general. She gave us wonderful information and her warmth was appreciated. The room itself was okay, very clean despite being run down (a reflection of the property and its owner, NOT the staff). The hot water was tepid at best though Shanon offered us another room to shower in that did have hot water if we needed (something she shouldn't have to do but she's kind) and told us the times the hot water might work best. The television was hard to work and often didn't but that's on the owner and not the staff. There was some drama with another motel user who made an outside commotion but again that's on the owner for not having security or enforcing the property rules well. The ice machine was also broken but again that's an owner issue. For the most part I felt safe and was able to enjoy my room with my family though I don't feel it was worth the money considering what was out of use. Though that's not on the staff at all. I hope the property owner listens to their staff and starts to fix things properly as it isn't fair to the motel users or staff who actually do the hard part of running the place.
Only negatives were maintenance issues. Staff was pleasant, professional, and above & beyond. Tv didn't get a signal; phone doesn't work; towels & washcloths were crusty, brown and hard on the outside; no hot water, layer of thick dirt and dust on everything; open black cracks on bathroom ceiling; many old stains where mold was wiped off (still had mold residue and wipe marks); many areas where water damage made big bags in wall paint; unserviced heating unit blows burnt dust smell.
The room I was in was a little outdated. The fan in the restroom only worked occasionally, and the power outlets were fairly worn from use. The staff was incredible. Shannon was amazing!
Worst motel 6 ever. No hot water, tv didn’t work. Big dogs running freely in in the parking lot. Water dripping from ceiling onto your head if you sit on the toilet. The clerk rented my room to someone else and he tried to get in. Clerk accused me of not paying and wanted to come in at 1:15 am. Then came back to apologize and still wanted in. Freaky Friday. Upon leaving at dawn the cleaning lady yelled at me for complaining about the smell in the room. Even the sheets reeked of cigarettes and whatever. Nasty.
Typically these motels are good for people that have pets because they don't charge a pet fee. However, this location has a desk clerk that lives onsite and wants to play like she owns the place. NOWHERE on the website or in the policies posted does it say that you must take your dogs to a certain spot when you take them outside to relieve themselves, yet this lady yelled and screamed at both me and my wife to take the dogs 100 yards up in front to let them out. The pavement on a hot day is 3 to 4 times the outside temperature and will burn and damage our dogs paws. I asked her what her title was and she said desk clerk. Then I explained that she was in the hospitality business and screaming at customers was not being hospitable at all. On the day we left she said she was sorry but then took $60.00 of our deposit because she said she saw our dogs poop on the lot. I have seen more than one complaint of people not getting all of their deposit back from this location. We have stayed in suites in Vegas and other pet friendly places where they charge 30 buck per pet per night, but never have I had my deposit charged back. This lady does not belong in the people business and must have a sad life to treat people like she does. I normally don't get personal with a review but this lady offended me, my wife and our dogs.
No WiFi access for 2/4 days of my stay. Staff didn’t care. I had to pay $40 to upgrade my data plan because of this. I talked to 2 staff members and they didn’t care. I requested compensation from staff and the property manager and was denied because it’s a free amenity. Free WiFi is listed as an amenity on this hotel’s website. The amenities help people determine where to stay. Therefore it should be accessible and if it’s not compensation should be given. I filed a formal complaint with customer care by phone but they deflect to the property manager. I have attached a photo of the email I received from the property manager, and the follow-up email from customer care. If the property manager isn’t doing their job, corporate should be stepping in. But they just deflect to the property manager. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this property altogether. Nothing but a hassle and complete disregard for how a hotel should be run and how guests should be treated. This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I will never stay at a Motel 6 again. STAY AWAY!!!
My husband and I travel all across the US and typically book Motel 6 as they are dog friendly. By going budget friendly, we don't expect much and as long as we have a clean and functioning room, we're happy. This room was everything but clean or functioning. To start, the moment we walked into the room it had a foul odor. The room was hot and stale so we turned on the air conditioner and all it would do is blow the fan. The freezer did not work and the fridge wasn't very cold so we brought our cooler in. I went to clean up a small puddle of water from a dropped ice cube on the floor and the paper towel was BLACK from the filthy floor which clearly had not been swept or mopped in who knows how long. That night my husband went to plug in his medical C-Pap device only to find out that there were no working outlets in close enough proximity to the bed to reach so he was forced to go without it. After a restless night in an 80 degree room, we could not wait to get out of there. The bathroom was so bad that we couldn't even take showers so we literally loaded up as fast as we could and got out. Upon checking out I requested the manager, something I've never done in all of our journeys across this country. But this room was in such poor condition that it should never have been allowed to be booked in the first place. The clerk was helpful and even gave me the corporate number along with her GM's business card. I called corporate and shared our experience and was told I'd receive a call back from either them or the GM. I called 3 days later and was told the same thing. I've yet to receive a response which leads me to believe that Motel 6 isn't actually interested in improving their customer service experience or resolving the issue so I am sharing this experience to caution the next traveler.
I loved Sharron/Sahnnon sorry bad with names but she was the best! I needed something and she was on it! The location is awesome, there is so much good stuff to eat around there it was a breath of fresh air! The rooms were clean and you can tell they’re about to paint, I have faith this will be a great place to stay!
