The Courtyard Portland Hillsboro offers a generally positive experience with notable highlights including a well-received staff and appealing amenities like a pool and hot tub. However, concerns regarding inconsistent room quality, unexpected fees, and operational issues highlight areas needing attention. Overall, guests appreciate the value and convenience of the location, while others have experienced notable problems.
Nice room with balcony, shades are remote controlled, coffee pot, large tv, mini fridge, and microwave. Indoor heated pool plus hot tub a major plus point. Enclosed courtyard area with chairs is relaxing. No complimentary breakfast; costs money.
My family and I had such an amazing stay here! The rooms were super clean, cozy, and really well taken care of. But I have to give the biggest shoutout to Elizabeth — she was absolutely INCREDIBLE! She went so far above and beyond that I honestly felt spoiled. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine care made my whole trip. I will 100% be staying here again, and honestly… Elizabeth is a HUGE reason why! ?? Highly, highly recommend!
If you find this on Airbnb, do not book! Especially if you have a pet. On Airbnb, their listing is not up-to-date and will say that there is a pet fee of $40 one time. When you get to the hotel, they will charge you $70. I wouldn’t pay the difference. It’s been three days and I haven’t gotten my money from Airbnb or the hotel. The hotel also charge my card $50 randomly. Definitely a bait and switch tactic. When I asked to speak to a manager of the hotel, The wormy guy at the front said there was no manager that could help me And I needed to handle this with Airbnb. Do not look on Airbnb.
Went to check in and they said Expedia oversold the room type and we had to have a different smaller room. We were tired so just went with it until we saw the room which had hair in the tub, on the bathroom floor which was never mopped and the sink. I have been in hospitality for over 20 years and worked under this mgmt company. This hotel needs upgrades and much better housekeeping practices. Front desk was very helpful and got us another room as well as offered various comp items which I declined, but based on other reviews this property needs better mgmt. update: there was hair in the bathroom in the new room! I cleaned it up myself. Unacceptable for an inspector not to catch this.
Such a fantastic find! For starters, the price was reasonable, and it was in a not-so-nice neighborhood (185th), hidden a few blocks away, completely safe, in a great location, and extremely quiet!! I couldn't believe we were in a city. The front-desk staff was excellent, the interiors were new and modern, the rooms were clean, and we had a stunning garden view. There was a great pool, hot tub, and exercise room. We liked it so much that we extended our stay and will definitely return in the future.
The Rooms, Service, and location of this hotel was amazing. Kind staff, clean rooms, and good location. However; the reason for the 4 stars is with the pool. There were multiple sharp metal objects in that pool that jabbed into my foot. After all of that, I found piece after piece of tiny sharp metal pieces all over the pool. Other than that, great hotel.
Front desk staff were amazing and friendly. However, I rated my visit a 3 star because the original room we stayed in was definitely haunted. Absolutely do NOT stay in room 325. The gal working at the desk on night shift was kind enough to offer a room change. We moved down to the 2nd floor and the energy was so much lighter. We were however, woken up by a woman guest in the next room singing so loud over and over again at 6 am. I didn’t get any sleep lol.
Walker was our check in person and he was just so amazing and kind. We are traveling through Oregon and have stayed several places, hands down would recommend this place. It’s about 30 mins out of Portland and we are now just raving about how Marriott is the only place we’ll stay in the future. Walker was so courteous to us and our pets and set us up in a perfect room close to a nice area for them to walk. So so grateful can’t say enough.
I am very pleased with the service, it was beyond spectacular, I felt like a VIP. We called ahead to make sure we got the right place because there are so very many Marriott hotels near me, knowing what we were looking for The staff placed us in the most perfect located room I could even imagine. We got our carpets cleaned so we just went a mile away, but I felt like it was really a vacation. The staff were amazing. If it wasn't for the giant booger with a nose hair attached to it the room would've got five stars too. I don't know if all the beds are the same type, but in my king size bedroom the bed was smaller than my king size, and only comfortable for a back sleeper, I am a side sleeper, which made it very painful for me. There was also a construction crew from Washington who started running their asphalt machinery around 4 AM, which made it almost impossible to sleep, maybe there should be a a noise ordinance, if there is, I suggest it be enforced. overall, I would stay here if I came from out of town, and if I need a hotel room near my house again, I will definitely go to this hotel.
Arrived to crumbs on the nightstand and wipes on the floor in the bathroom. Asked the front desk in the morning for a cleaning, explaining we had found our room dirty, to be told the cleaning staff was too busy. Cleaning came the next day to fold back the beds, take the trash, replace towels, and leave the rest. $12 for parking is unwarranted in a location like this. I didn’t notice it until I read the reviews and went back to reread my bill. There’s no shortage of parking and it’s not located in the middle of a downtown or anything. WiFi was sporadic, cable TV was spotty. Breakfast was expensive and not worth the price. The poor guy at the desk at night was running around trying to take care of everything while a few guests waited to purchase things from the marketplace. On a good note, the hot tub and pool were fine.
