We rented out 11 cabins and the meeting hall for my wife's 40th birthday. The meeting hall was really nice. The views were exquisite. No dishwashing stations but there are shared toilets and showers. Cabins and meeting Hall stayed very warm in January.

The park is excellent for hiking and picnicking. There is a wide variety of native trees and plants, both wetland and upland. The trails are hilly and can be muddy at times. Some trails are shared with horses and mountain bikes. The elevation is as high as 1500 ft. There are scenic views from Hilltop Day Use Area and Skycar Viewpoint. Hilltop has a picnic shelter, restroom, fenced-in pet area, and entry to the disc golf course. There are recycling facilities near the park office. There is easy access to Banks-Vernonia State Trail a few miles south at Buxton Trestle.

Sprawling Oregon State Park in the foothills of the Coast Range with cabins, RV hookups, camping, disc golf, mountain bike trails, horse use, and hiking trails in addition to a picnic/day use area. The area seems to preserve forest land that's been logged at least twice. Other than a nice view from the day use there aren't really any stunning vistas, but the forest is peaceful and serene, except where there's current thinning/logging operations going on that are intended to improve the health of the forest.

Great campsites. Everyone was level, spacious and generally made good use of the environment to feel private. Wonderfull trails andd best bike path i have found so far. The frisby golf course was a bit to wild for me due to mobility issues, but would be nice if you are extremely mobile. Full hookups in all sites I observed. I will return.

We came for disc golf and had a great host assist us and it was a really nice day. The courses we saw listed online where not currently available so instead of 18 and 9 pins there was 9 and 3. But they where super fun, just not something I'd drive two hours for again.

This camp site by far is the cleanest and most maintained camp site we have ever stayed at. The staff is super friendly and helpful. With the versatility of hiking, biking, and a family friendly place. The pads for the RVs are huge. They have spots for RVs, tents and cabins. We will definitely be back here again!

One of my favorite spots to camp — nice views and close to town. There are many hiking trails and a day-use area where you can watch the stars at night. The park hosts are very helpful, and the bathrooms are clean

Stunning vistas ( hilltop day area is all persons accessible), well kept trails, clean restrooms, a maintained fenced enclosed dog off leash area, and amazing staff. Get your state park pass to turn on the sounds and sights of this gorgeous place ?

We camped at the Brookes hike-in with our 7 and 8 year old. 1/4-mile walk on gravel and dirt, a little rise but definitely doable. Bathrooms were clean. Shared fire pit was great. Firewood was available for $7 a bundle and kindling for $2.

First time visiting this particular Oregon State Park. First impressions were good, everything is cleaned and well maintained. Throughout our stay things just got better. Bathrooms and showers were both maintained immaculately the entire week of our stay. Seems like almost every camper had a dog (including us) and there is no dog poop to be found. Campers do a great job cleaning up after furry friends. Only downside to this park is the almost non-existent cell phone service. We have Verizon so YMMV. Overall 5/5 definitely will be returning in the future.
