The Best Western Portland West Beaverton generally receives positive reviews, highlighting cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient breakfast options. However, recent feedback indicates recurring issues with accessibility due to the multi-building layout and lack of elevators, alongside concerns about bed bugs and unresponsive management regarding guest issues.
Very clean spacious rooms. Beautiful fountain and outside pool and Jacuzzi
We come for doctors appointments. So easy to check In and Breakfast is amazing! Super Clean, friendly staff. We love it cause we have a young child with disabilities and it makes it easier being away from home for him.
My husband and I have stayed at this location for 40 years! On our own and through the contract they have with the VA. Never had a problem until this last month. My husband was staying alone, the maid knocked, he answered in a pair of sweat pants, and nothing else, tried to catch her, his door locked behind him and the maid would not unlock the door. He used a phone in a room that she left open and called the front desk. Had to wait for manager to come and very rudely let him back in his room. He is a 79 year old disabled veteran and cancer patient! Basically told he was an idiot for locking himself out! I have read motel policy and no where did I see that a maid can not unlock the door she just watched you come out of! He was consequently banned from this motel! This motel treated a veteran the same way he was treated when he came home from Vietnam! Shame on them! I will no longer be supporting Best Western Motels!
No elevator but three floors. The pool is nice. The neighborhood looks a little sketchy so I wouldn't recommend this for everyone.
Comfortable room with exception very bright porch light directly across from room caused me to have to close double drapes. Would have enjoyed keeping at least one drape open . I also called front desk to ask for a wake up call. Spoke to a young guy. No call received
Great experience. Room was perfect! Late check in no problem just let them know in advance. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
The room had bed bugs, while i had booked multiple nights i had to go to front desk after the first night and showed them pictures of what was found in the room. The front desk said they would notify management to get a refund, however, a refund never happened and Hotel would not reach back out after multiple attempts to resolve with them directly.
I just got back from a family visit in Beaverton which involved having stayed 6;days at your motel. I arrived very late, exhausted from a lengthy flight, and was enthusiastically greeted by Mark who was working the front desk. I was unsuccessful in locating my room, so I returned to the front desk. Mark very graciously led me to the exact location of my room. Mark is great! Regarding breakfast, the breakfast was excellent! Coffee was great! However, if an individual has mobility issues, there are no elevators to assist them. The location was excellent for me during this trip., I put a No Disturb sign on my door, so I can't comment on housekeeping. The room met my needs; however I could only get one channel on the TV. I would stay at your motel again on my next family visit.
Stayed with our dog in room 240 the bed sucks everything else was good. Pool and spa were nice spa needs to be turned up 20 degrees. Free breakfast was solid. Staff was super nice.
Corporate has been contacted, and they will manage the entire situation. Before I start, I genuinely attempted to remain open-minded and understanding, but by the conclusion of our stay, I could no longer do so. We checked in on a Thursday night around 11:30 PM, and upon our arrival, we encountered a homeless individual asking for money, which is unfortunate but not their fault. Once we reached our room, we wanted to go to bed but were unable to because we had to deal with a large spider. The entire bathroom reeked as if someone had mopped it with urine. Furthermore, when we opened the blanket, we found cookie and food crumbs scattered across the sheets. Consequently, we opted to use our own blankets from the car and slept on top of them. Additionally, they did not provide any covering for the crib and informed me that they had nothing available. The following day, I called around 10 AM, and they apologized, assuring us they would address the issues, which we appreciated. We also requested them to handle the numerous ants. However, upon returning to our hotel, nothing had been done. Our bed sheets remained unchanged, the urine smell persisted, and the ants were still present. I then approached the front desk and spoke to a woman regarding this matter. She raised her voice, expressing her stress over her check-in line and did not want other guests to overhear me. She told me I could change the sheets myself since she was unable to assist, and later that night, around 10 PM, we finally received new sheets. She became agitated with me when I mentioned that the ants were still present. I was astonished that not only was I not offered another room, but no one came to change anything. This is not supposed to be a self-service situation. We paid a significant amount to stay here. I have never encountered this many issues at a Best Western. The next morning, they ran out of breakfast by 8 AM. They used the soccer families as an excuse, but the hotel should be prepared for any situation. Not once did this hotel offer a discount or even consider voiding our stay. They never suggested changing our room. They require new management, and Best Western Corporate needs to intervene and rectify everything. The bug issue and the food in the bed were unsanitary enough for even the health department to be involved.
