America's Best Value Inn & Suites – Forest Grove offers a budget-friendly stay, frequently praised for its low prices and convenient location. However, recent reviews highlight significant issues with cleanliness, staff responsiveness, and room conditions, including flooding, lingering odors, and a lack of amenities.
Can't beat the price for the rooms. I have stayed in two different rooms the king toom and the king w/ spa tube both of which were very clean and nicely presented. Also the manager was very helpful let me do an early check-in because we ended up having to come to town unexpectedly with no reservations. Also the staff was great, no complaints.
Want to be harassed by the staff? This is your place. You’re better off sleeping in your car. Lol love a good tv show while I’m working too!
First room was a non smoking on the first floor and you could see the smoke on the walls. It was so smelly. They thankfully moved us but that wasn't the end of it. Moved to 2nd room. Smelled better thought everything was fine until we used the bathroom for the first time and it flooded. Come to find out. They had a note on that room saying it does that yet still put us in there anyways. The 3rd shift lady and 1st shift lady helped us but the graveyard person needs a new job. Had my wife spend over n hour digging thru their janitor closets looking for a freaking plunger. Dont stay here if you can help it.
Fantastic experience with the Jacuzzi in the room, really great feature to a fair priced room at around $100/night. Wifi was on the fritz for some reason so had to use my phone hotspot but staff was polite and attentive and overr all a great stay.
There is no breakfast or internet. Stopped here on a business trip for the purpose of downloading some files needed for work and catching some much needed rest. Was unable to connect to the internet. The front desk was clueless, rude, couldn’t help, refused to put me in touch with anyone that could and, hung up on me. If I hadn’t just worked a 12 hour day I would have requested a refund and left.
Nice enough, and perfect for the price. Let's be honest, you didn't come here for the amenities. It's reasonably clean and the lowest price in town. Best Value.
We stayed at America's Best Value Inn around mid October. We picked this location as we came from Canada for my best friend's wedding. My gf and I selected the Jacuzzi room and were excited about being able to come back after the wedding and relax in the tub! Unfortunately we weren't able to get the room we paid for in advance. I guess the owner has a friend that stays sometimes and he chose to extend his stay an extra night and he was in that room. So we missed out on the opportunity to enjoy it. The room we were given instead was standard. I realize they were just doing the best they could given the circumstances. We felt the staff there were very apologetic and we knew their hands were tied.
Absolutely the WORST customer service any where. No one was on the property, no one answered the phone. The front desk lady came driving in 45 mins after we stood there waiting. The had major attitude telling us excuses after excuses. The was setup by the American Red Cross and were told we had empty rooms that are clean but we can not let you check into them because house keeping has to check them again. Called non emergency to come do a welfare check on employees since no one was at desk or answering phone. Also refused to give any contact information to talk to owners. I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMEND!!!
Very dated rooms. We turned down the first “non smoking” room that smelled of old cigarettes and possibly mold in the carpet. Carpet through out is dated. The bed we slept in was old and sagged a bit. The sink faucet is severely corroded. The location was convenient for our event at McMennamins Grand Lodge.
Greta service, rooms are dated but very clean, staff was nice, Beds were clean and rooms smelt good.
