We did not stay the night, room smelled very strange and was cramped even with the private bathroom, and we had two of the worst steaks we’ve ever eaten in the restaurant. Ordered rare and was pink on the outside, ordered well done on other and was very pink inside even after sending back. We’ve had stomach issues all the next day including our dog who got the leftovers. Staff was nice, and soaking pool was good. Will not stay at a mcmennamins or order steak at their restaurants again though for sure.

This was my first time at a Mcmenamins and boy howdy was it an experience. The place is super quirky with so much art to look at and little details to notice. The restaurants had good food and they offered coffee and tea in the lobby from 6am-11am. The staff is great! Any questions I had, they answered. Any help I needed they were speedy to find a solution. Overall not a bad stay at all!

Loved this place! My favorite spot was Billy Scott's bar on 2nd floor. It over looked 3 redwoods I lovingly called the 3 sisters. The staff was so nice. Alexis in Billy Scott's become my favorite. Hugged her goodbye on 3rd day cuz I knew I'd miss her! And I do.... she was a delight. Found the secret rooms too!

We just ate here but the food was a solid 10/10 experience! Emma our waiter made sure our parties needs were met. They even have gluten free options available and are knowledgeable about the foods which I super appreciated for my mom. My mom has gotten gluten in her system by accident way too many times because the place said they had gluten free options but they really weren’t. They could also accommodate a wheelchair user so everyone could enjoy the meal together! Amazing experience

We have been for a concert, soaking, and eating out (haven't stayed at the hotel itself yet), and all experiences have been pretty great. For soaking be prepared that there's only 3 larger shared bathrooms with showers for changing (2 by the lockers, one around the corner), so on a busy day there can be quite a wait (and probably best to come already in your swim suits). Check in for soaking requires IDs of everyone which I didn't see noted online, so the young adult who forgot their wallet needed to email their picture. It was awesome they let us do that since we drive 45 minutes and couldn't just go grab the ID. It says kids are allowed accompanied by an adult, so not sure how that is handled. There are lockers but they don't give you locks. Might need to ask about renting one or bring your own. Bring your own bathrobes/towels as they don't offer those or towels unless you stay overnight at the hotel. I can definitely see it being an even better soaking experience if you're staying over. We had average service for our meal, nothing above and beyond, and could make some complaints but won't (sever was young and learning maybe). Food was delicious, let usual of most Mcmenamins.

It’s amazing how McMenamins highlights the character and history of the spaces where they operate. Grand Lodge is so much fun with all its tucked away bars, basement pool tables, and soaking pools. We love vacationing here whenever we need a getaway close to town.

Depending on which room you get their rooms could be really nice or very loud or super unique. If you can, look for a room at the top, not in the basement. Happy hour food is super good and the soaking tub is great

Absolutely fantastic. Just walking the halls was an almost magical experience. Such character! Even in bad weather and with some of the attractions closed because of the time we chose to visit, the delightful soaking pool and friendly staff more than made up for it.

I was here for my husband's company Christmas party. Food was great! My drink was good too. We love all the McMenamins locations. I love the cool and eerie paintings. We didnt stay the night but we saw the room one of my husband's coworkers was staying in. It was nice and had a bathroom. I really like the secret hallway, super neat. I'm always down for designs like that.

McMenamins Grand Lodge in Forest Grove is such a fun place to explore. We soaked in the little outdoor soaking pool, which was wonderfully warm and relaxing, then wandered the halls checking out all the art—and even stumbled into a secret hallway, which was a highlight on its own. There was a long wait for drinks at one of the pop-up bars during an event, but the bartender was doing his best on his own. Everywhere else, the staff was friendly and the service was great. Overall, it’s a charming, quirky spot with plenty to discover. I’d definitely come back!
