The Hyatt House Portland / Beaverton offers a convenient location near the MAX train and food trucks, with generally positive reviews highlighting cleanliness and comfortable beds. However, guests have reported issues with parking costs, inconsistent breakfast availability, and occasional operational problems like billing errors and noisy trains.
We loved our stay here. Very quiet and extremely clean, with friendly staff. The bathroom was modern and spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the blackout shades were a great bonus. The whole room felt perfect and so clean. The only downside was the parking situation — paying $35 to park at the hotel or having to walk down the street from a nearby parking garage was an awful setup!! Otherwise, a great stay. Also wish there was complimentary coffee:/
Spent one night at this location. If you want to be near the Beaverton activity, this is a good location and you can easily reach it via the MAX. Parking immediately outside the hotel is restricted during certain hours M-F and there is very limited paid parking available on the property. The hotel appears to be fairly new. Everything was clean and in good condition. The included breakfast was a nice option if you don't want to go out. Food carts are only a short walk away, but hours and what is open can be variable.
Hotel is very nice. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Bathroom is spacious and shower space is ample. Everything seemed to be clean, no smells. I enjoyed my stay. You will have to pay for parking fyi. Will return.
Stay here 2 nights had very bad experience found something nasty in the room notify the front desk that lady was very nice. Offered me free food and drink, which I did not have because on the next morning the manager. AMANDA VILLEGAS WAS VERY ROUGH CAME TO MY ROOM AND TOLD ME SHE COULD SMELL SMOKE I DO NOT SMOKE AND IF I DID IT WOULENT BE IN MY ROOM WITH 2 year old and 4 year old and when I went down to front desk she told my husband if we don’t leave she’s gona call emergency I think I should of having a an apology instead ? and never asked to change room
Watch your credit card statement! This is a nice and convenient hotel, but the credit card reader double charged me and the hotel has been slow in clearing the duplicate charge. Otherwise the service is friendly and the rooms are nice.
This hotel is well located next to a MAX station making it easy to get to from the airport. Quite a few things, including a food truck court within easy walking distance, however, my room on the fifth floor overlooks the MAX street crossing, which means that every 15 minutes starting around 5:30 in the morning, the crossing bells go off. Then this morning at 7 AM and there was a fire alarm that was so incredibly loud you had to leave the building, mercifully there was actually no fire. forgot to mention the phone in the room seems to have some kind of battery connection problems, and started beeping regularly at about 4 AM, this was fixed by taking it out of its cradle and putting it back in. I had noticed this beeping when I tried to go to sleep and thought perhaps it was an alarm clock in an adjacent room, but it turned out to be the phone in my room. My room had a slightly moldy smell coming from the air conditioning which abated when I switched it over to the heat function. No matter what temperature you set on the thermostat, it resumes at 68° so if you don’t like a room at 68° this may not be the place for you. Windows do not open. If you do stay here, I would ask for a room away from the MAX crossing.
I stayed at this location over a week ago and have been working with them since then to correct my billing. I was billed twice for the same room, same night. Customer service told me they or the hotel location would get back to me with resolution. That was 5 days ago. Nothing from either, and I'm still being double billed.
This was a great redemption over the weekend. I was upgraded to a suite and found the accommodations pretty nice. If you're staying Saturday night street parking is free in Beaverton. This is also one of the few hotels that has a proper AC unit where the fan will stay running all night if you set it to. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
This place was fine. Very comfortable, and if you want a good central location to check out Beaverton, can't beat it. And has a real good complimentary breakfast. My only "criticism" is, this is a new building, and has very little character to speak of. Even the bar lacked any inviting charm or warmth. OTOH, I wasn't here to hang out in the hotel. Probably fine for the younger folks, but just an observation from an older guy.
Parking is $35, no valet and lucky if you find a spot in the very small lot. Parking across the street, maybe 10 spots, after 6 but always full. Otherwise go a block or so and pay $15. Breakfast is good when it’s there. In 5 days coffee pots empty 3 days. Oatmeal out 2 days. If you wait for a while they are refilled. If this were a business trip waiting would not be an option. The location is good, near a very cool food truck place. Room was fine until the electronic lock failed. Train is beside the hotel and is noisy.
